Hyundai celebrates 30 years in India with AI-powered brand film

New campaign reimagines three decades of innovation through a child’s perspective

GURUGRAM: Three decades, millions of customers and some of India’s most recognisable cars later, Hyundai Motor India is looking back at its journey through the lens of the future.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled a new AI-powered brand film to commemorate its 30-year journey in the country, celebrating what the company describes as three decades of trust, pride and progress.

Told through the imaginative perspective of a young child, the film uses artificial intelligence to recreate key milestones in Hyundai’s evolution in India, blending nostalgia with a forward-looking narrative. The campaign revisits some of the brand’s most iconic vehicles, from the Santro that helped redefine the Indian small-car market to popular models such as the Accent, Verna, i10 and i20.

The film also traces Hyundai’s transition into the SUV era with vehicles including the Creta, Venue and Alcazar, before looking ahead to the future of mobility through electric models such as the IONIQ 5 and Creta Electric.

Beyond showcasing products, the campaign highlights the values that Hyundai says have shaped its relationship with Indian consumers over the past three decades. These include trust built through customer-centricity, pride in contributing to India’s economic and automotive growth, and progress driven by innovation and technology.

Commenting on the launch, Hyundai Motor India Limited head – marketing Virat Khullar said, “As we celebrate three decades of our journey in India, this brand film made with AI allowed us to do something special – to revisit and recreate defining moments from our past in a way that feels fresh and immersive. From our earliest products to our latest innovations, AI helped us reimagine our journey through the eyes of a child, blending nostalgia with a forward-looking perspective.”

He added that the campaign reflects Hyundai’s continued focus on innovation, not only in its vehicles but also in the way it engages with customers and tells its brand story.

The film arrives at a time when artificial intelligence is increasingly being adopted across marketing and advertising, enabling brands to recreate historical moments, build immersive narratives and connect with audiences in new ways.

Over the past 30 years, Hyundai has grown into one of India’s largest and most trusted automobile manufacturers. From introducing globally inspired products to expanding local manufacturing capabilities and investing in future mobility solutions, the company has played a significant role in shaping the country’s automotive landscape.

As Hyundai marks this milestone, the new campaign serves as both a celebration of its past and a glimpse into its future, where technology, innovation and customer experience continue to drive the next chapter of its India story.
