HYBE India partners Rashmika Mandanna for final audition drive
Campaign urges young Indian women to pursue global opportunities across music and performance
MUMBAI: Dreams are getting a louder soundtrack as HYBE India teams up with Rashmika Mandanna for the HYBE INDIA Audition: Final Call, using the actor’s own journey to encourage young women across the country to take their shot at a global stage.
The partnership comes as HYBE India expands its search for emerging talent, with the audition open to Indian female participants born between 2005 and 2011. Applicants can audition across vocals, rap, dance, acting and modelling, with HYBE India looking for distinctive talent and individual perspectives that could be developed into global artists and performers.
In a campaign video, Rashmika looks back at the dreams and ambitions that shaped her career, the opportunities that came her way and the hard work involved in turning those aspirations into reality. The film also features glimpses of her childhood, connecting her early ambitions with her journey to becoming one of India’s most recognisable contemporary stars.
Rashmika, whose career spans multiple Indian film industries and languages, uses the campaign to encourage young girls to embrace their individuality and recognise their potential. Her message is straightforward: an opportunity only becomes a turning point when someone has the courage to take the first step.
“Every journey begins with an opportunity and the courage to take that first step,” Rashmika said, adding that she sees the initiative as a “first-of-its-kind opportunity in India”. She also urged young women who dream of becoming artists, performers and role models to make the most of the audition.
The Final Call builds on the first phase of HYBE India’s talent search and widens the hunt for performers who can potentially connect with audiences beyond India. Rather than limiting the search to conventional singing talent, the audition spans five categories vocals, rap, dance, acting and modelling.
For HYBE India, the Rashmika collaboration puts a familiar Indian face behind the audition’s central pitch: talent can come from anywhere, but it needs an opportunity to travel. The initiative is aimed at finding young women whose skills and perspectives can be nurtured for a wider, global audience.
Further information on eligibility, applications and audition schedules is available through HYBE India’s official audition website and social media channels.
