Havas India names Vijay Chauhan as AVP – digital media

MUMBAI: In a move that puts digital front and centre, Vijay Chauhan has been elevated to assistant vice president, digital media at Havas India.

Chauhan shared the development on LinkedIn, announcing that he has started his new position as AVP, digital media at the agency.

He has been with Havas India for more than three years, joining the agency in February 2023 as senior media director. His latest elevation, effective August 2026, expands his responsibilities across the agency’s digital media operations.

Chauhan brings more than 15 years of experience in media and digital marketing to the role. Before joining Havas India, he spent nearly five years at BC Web Wise, where he held the positions of digital media director and later digital senior media director.

His career has also included a stint of more than two years at Digital Strings as digital media manager. Earlier, he worked with Madison Communications as account controller and with Customer Centria as online media manager.

Across these roles, Chauhan has built experience spanning digital media planning, campaign management and broader media strategy, giving him a mix of agency and digital expertise as he takes on the expanded mandate at Havas India.

Chauhan holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media with a specialisation in advertising from University of Mumbai, which he completed between 2003 and 2007.

His elevation comes as agencies continue to place greater emphasis on digital media capabilities as brands shift more of their consumer engagement and advertising activity online. At Havas India, Chauhan’s expanded role will add another layer of leadership to the agency’s digital media function.

With more than a decade of experience across media agencies and digital specialists, Chauhan now moves into a senior role at Havas India, bringing a career built firmly around the business of getting brands seen in the right places.
