MUMBAI: Pixel is getting a little more intelligent. Google has launched its latest Pixel 11 smartphone family in India, bringing the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold with its new Tensor G6 chip, Gemini Nano-powered AI features and upgraded camera systems as the company pushes deeper into AI-led smartphones.

The Pixel 11 starts at Rs 89,999, while the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are priced from Rs 1,19,999, Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,86,999, respectively. The devices are available for pre-order through the Google Store and will go on sale through the Google Store and retail partners from 20 August.

Google is also continuing its long-term software commitment, with the entire Pixel 11 family set to receive seven years of Pixel Drops along with OS and security updates.

At the heart of the new lineup is Google’s Tensor G6 processor, paired with the Titan M3 security chip. Google said the combination forms its most robust proactive defence system yet, while the latest Gemini Nano model brings on-device AI capabilities designed around contextual understanding and proactive assistance.

The standard Pixel 11 features a camera bar that is more than 40 per cent thinner than the previous generation and comes in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio and Obsidian. It packs 12GB of RAM, 256GB and 512GB storage options and a battery rated for more than 30 hours.

Its upgraded 48MP main camera offers 56 per cent more light sensitivity, alongside up to 30x Super Res Zoom and Instant Night Sight. Google is also introducing Camera Looks, allowing users to customise the visual character of their photographs through options such as Natural, Shadows and Vanilla.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL step up the hardware with Super Actua displays featuring a new anti-scratch coating that Google says is twice as scratch-resistant, while peak brightness reaches 3,600 nits.

Both Pro models get an upgraded 50MP main camera and a 48MP telephoto camera supporting up to 120x Pro Zoom and Portrait Mode at 5x. They also offer more than 30 hours of battery life, with wired charging reaching up to 75 per cent in around 30 minutes and wireless charging speeds improving by up to 29 per cent.

Google is putting AI directly into the everyday smartphone experience through features including HiLight, which uses LED lights around the camera flash for glanceable alerts, and Rambler, a Gemini-powered voice input tool designed to clean up natural speech, including filler words such as “um” and “ah”.

Magic Capture analyses hundreds of frames in real time to identify and enhance spontaneous moments, while Creator Suite on the Pro models brings together a teleprompter, Storyboard editing and other creator-focused camera controls.

The foldable flagship, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, gets 16GB of RAM and is nearly 1mm thinner, almost 10 per cent lighter and three times more durable than its predecessor, according to Google. It features a ceramic cover glass, a new composite back cover and a redesigned hinge.

The foldable’s inner and outer Super Actua displays are 20 per cent brighter, while battery life extends beyond 24 hours. The device can reach 50 per cent charge in around 30 minutes and supports 25W Qi2.2 Pixelsnap wireless charging, which Google says is 20 per cent faster.

Its camera system offers 56 per cent more light sensitivity and up to 30x Super Res Zoom. Foldable-focused features including Bubble Anything, Split Screen, Drag and Drop and Instant View are designed to make better use of the larger display. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be available in Olive with 512GB storage.

Google is extending the Pixel ecosystem beyond phones with the Pixel Watch 5, which starts at Rs 42,900 for the 41mm model and Rs 45,900 for the 45mm version. Pre-orders begin 12 August, with retail availability from 20 August.

The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Wearable Platform and is claimed to be 20 per cent faster, with 12 per cent faster CPU processing. It also brings Offline Gemini assistance, one-handed gesture expansion, redesigned complications and generative watch faces.

Health features include Health Guardian, which summarises sleep and recovery, alongside blood pressure and insulin resistance trend summaries. Google said its new sleep tracking system is 15 per cent more accurate.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also getting software updates, including enhanced adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, Gemini Voice Control, Live Translate for media and Sleep Sync, which can automatically pause audio when Pixel Watch detects that the user has fallen asleep. The earbuds will also be available in a new Olive colourway.

To support the launch, Google is offering instant cashback and up to 24-month no-cost EMI options through HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank. Zero-down-payment financing will be available through Bajaj Finance and IDFC FIRST Bank.

The Google Pixel Upgrade Programme will offer an assured buyback value of up to 62.5 per cent after nine months when upgrading to an eligible Pixel device. Buyers of the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold will also receive six months of Google AI Pro, providing access to advanced Gemini capabilities and premium AI features.

Google is also expanding its after-sales network with exclusive service centres in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, alongside 18 authorised service centres and a Pick-up and Drop Concierge pilot in select cities.

Mitul Shah, Managing Director, Devices and Services, Google India, said the Pixel 11 portfolio brings together purpose-built hardware, Google’s latest AI capabilities and long-term value, while the company continues to expand financing, service support and its wider Pixel ecosystem in India.
