G-SHOCK and Coca-Cola Bottle 140 Years of Pop Culture Style
Casio India unveils a playful Coca-Cola collaboration watch inspired by the iconic contour bottle
NATIONAL: Pop culture just got a little more punctual. Marking 140 years of Coca-Cola, Casio India has unveiled a special-edition G-SHOCK watch that bottles nostalgia, street style and fizzy fun into one striking wristwear drop.
The new GA-2100CC, created in collaboration with The Coca-Cola Company, gives the classic G-SHOCK a refreshingly playful makeover inspired by the world’s most recognisable soft drink. And yes, the design quite literally takes its cues from the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle.
Built on the hugely popular GA-2100 silhouette known for its sleek octagonal bezel the watch arrives in colours borrowed from the famous Coke bottle, first introduced in 1915. The curved aesthetic runs deeper than the surface too, with clever bottle-inspired touches worked into the finer details.
The day indicator hand at the 9 o’clock position and the band loop feature fluted motifs reminiscent of the contour bottle, while the dial blends Coca-Cola-toned shades with bubble-like graphics that mimic the drink’s signature fizz. Even the case back gets the celebratory treatment, carrying an engraving inspired by a classic bottle cap.
Casio says the collaboration aims to bring together G-SHOCK’s rugged identity with Coca-Cola’s timeless pop-culture appeal a pairing that feels equal parts retro and collectible.
The watch also arrives in exclusive commemorative packaging designed specially for the collaboration and Coca-Cola’s 140th anniversary, giving fans one more reason to crack open their wallets.
