FilterCopy Comedy unveils

MUMBAI: If 2026 has delivered enough drama, FilterCopy is ready to turn the chaos into comedy. The digital entertainment brand has unveiled the full line-up for Hahakaar, a two-day comedy festival set to take over Mumbai’s Mukesh Mills on 12 and 13 December.

The festival will bring together more than 30 comedians across three stages, alongside games, food, pop-ups, interactive experiences, a sea-facing hangout and an official afterparty. Tickets are now live on District.

The line-up features Harsh Gujral, Munawar Farooqui, Aakash Gupta, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Manhar Seth, Atul Khatri, Aadar Malik, Rohit Shah, Prashasti Singh, Shreeja Chaturvedi, Sapan Verma, Urooj Ashfaq, Gurleen Pannu, Onkar Yadav and Shreya Priyam Roy. The festival will also feature emerging comedians and surprise appearances.

But Hahakaar is being positioned as more than a series of stand-up sets. The festival aims to turn the entire Mukesh Mills venue into a comedy playground, bringing together live performances, internet culture, games, food, conversations and nightlife.

The main stage, Grand Stand, will host the headline acts, while Sucky Naka will take comedy indoors with intimate sets, surprise performances and live internet formats. Nahi-Mann Point will focus on improv, open mics, emerging comedians, conversations and surprise drops.

The experience extends beyond the comedy stages. Marine Dine will offer a sea-facing space for food and drinks, while Get-Away-of-India will bring games into the festival. Chor Bizarre, Crawfood Market and MalaBAR Chill will add pop-ups, installations, food and spaces for audiences to hang out.

Saturday night will end with Chowparty, the festival’s official afterparty, extending the Hahakaar experience beyond the scheduled comedy performances.

The format reflects FilterCopy’s attempt to move away from the traditional auditorium-style comedy show, where audiences typically arrive for one performer and leave after the set.

Saregama executive vice president, films & events Siddharth Anand Kumar said, “Comedy is often experienced as a sit-down experience in an auditorium as individual artist shows. With Hahakaar, we wanted to make the comedian the starting point, not the entire experience. The idea was to build a celebration around comedy, where audiences can discover new acts, explore different formats, play, eat, and keep experiencing the festival beyond the main stage.”

Spread across eight zones and two days, Hahakaar will bring established comedians and emerging talent together with games, food, internet-led formats and nightlife at Mukesh Mills.

After a year that has supplied plenty of material for jokes, FilterCopy is betting that Mumbai audiences would rather laugh their way through the chaos.
