Eros Innovation launches Cultural AI platform with support for 34 languages
New LCVM and Persona AI tools aim to blend culture, identity and technology
MUMBAI: Giving artificial intelligence a cultural passport, Eros Innovation has officially launched its Cultural AI Platform, introducing a new technology ecosystem designed to understand and express culture, identity and language across digital experiences.
The platform, first showcased at the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 in February, is now live across 34 global languages. At its core are two proprietary technologies, Eros LCVM and Eros Persona AI, which together form what the company describes as a new category of “Cultural AI”.
While most generative AI systems focus on producing text, images or speech, Eros says its platform has been designed to preserve cultural context, emotional expression and identity consistency. The company claims its Large Cultural Voice Model can generate performances lasting up to five minutes while maintaining voice characteristics, emotional depth, lip-sync precision and cultural authenticity across multiple languages.
Meanwhile, Persona AI acts as a digital identity layer, allowing virtual characters and personalities to maintain continuity across different platforms, audiences and experiences. According to the company, every Persona is entirely fictional and is not intended to reproduce or represent any real-world actor, performer or public figure.
The platform has been built using a rights-cleared content library of more than 11,000 films and over 100,000 characters. It combines multilingual voice generation, storytelling, music creation, character performance and persistent digital identities within a unified framework.
Users can access the technology through the Eros Universe, where creators are able to build, animate and interact with culturally aware digital characters.
The broader Cultural AI ecosystem is structured around five integrated layers. These include Eros LCM for cultural intelligence and storytelling, LCVM for voice and performance generation, Persona AI for identity continuity, Eros Creator for enterprise and creator tools, and Eros Universe as the consumer-facing distribution platform.
Speaking about the launch, Eros Innovation co-founder and co-president Ridhima Lulla said the project stemmed from a long-term effort to rethink the role of artificial intelligence in cultural understanding.
“The Eros Cultural AI Platform is the culmination of years of work on one foundational question: can AI be built to understand culture, not just language? LCVM and Persona AI are the answer. The platform is live today. The first consumer product follows next week. And what comes after that is only possible because of what we built here,” she said.
Highlighting the platform’s strategic significance, Eros Innovation founder and chairman Kishore Lulla described LCVM as a key building block for India’s sovereign AI ambitions.
“The LCM family launched at the IndiaAI Summit as a sovereign AI initiative of India. LCVM is its voice, the layer that makes cultural intelligence audible, performable and distributable across 34 languages. Everything that follows is built on this foundation,” he said.
The launch also received support from policymakers. Speaking at the event, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology secretary S. Krishnan emphasised the need for AI systems that can preserve cultural and linguistic diversity while supporting India’s digital ambitions.
“India has the opportunity to lead not only in language AI, but also in the development of AI systems that understand culture, identity and context. As we build India’s sovereign AI capabilities, preserving our linguistic diversity, cultural heritage and creative traditions in the digital age will become increasingly important,” he said.
As countries and companies race to build increasingly capable AI systems, Eros Innovation is betting that the next frontier will not be language alone, but culture itself. With its platform now live across 34 languages, the company is positioning Cultural AI as a bridge between technology and the stories, identities and traditions that shape human experience.
