Emirates to stream every FIFA World Cup 2026 match live across its flights via Sport 24
Passengers can follow all tournament action onboard via Sport 24 throughout July
DUBAI: Football fans flying with Emirates this summer will not have to choose between travel and the beautiful game. The airline has announced that it will broadcast every match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 live onboard through its dedicated sports channel, Sport 24.
From the opening ceremony in Mexico to the final in the United States on 19 July, Emirates passengers will be able to watch the action unfold live at 40,000 feet, ensuring they do not miss a goal, a dramatic finish or a memorable celebration during one of the world’s biggest sporting spectacles.
The airline said the complete match schedule will be available through Sport 24 on its ice inflight entertainment system, allowing travellers to follow the tournament throughout their journey. To help passengers plan ahead, the full broadcast schedule is also featured in the June edition of the airline’s ice magazine.
Live television services, including Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, are available on most Emirates aircraft, although availability may vary depending on the route and aircraft type.
For passengers travelling through Dubai, the football experience will extend beyond the cabin. Emirates said FIFA World Cup matches will also be shown in its airport lounges where operationally possible, giving customers another opportunity to catch the action before departure or during transit.
The tournament is not the only sporting event on Emirates’ inflight line-up. Basketball fans can follow the NBA Finals, while sailing enthusiasts can watch the SailGP Canada Grand Prix live from Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia.
Motorsport also features prominently, with coverage planned for the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix on 19 July and the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix on 26 July.
As airlines increasingly look to enhance the passenger experience through premium entertainment, Emirates is betting that live sport remains one of the strongest crowd-pullers. For football supporters heading across continents this summer, the airline is making sure the tournament travels with them.
