Electromech Infraprojects appoints Adnan Ansari to lead data centre solutions and growth
Ansari will drive business development, client engagement and expansion across India and the GCC
MUMBAI: Data centre growth is getting a new power boost at Electromech Infraprojects Ltd., which has appointed Adnan Ansari as AVP, data centre solutions and growth.
Ansari brings around a decade of overall experience, including eight years focused on data centres and electrical construction projects. At Electromech, he will be responsible for business development, estimation, client engagement and supporting the company’s organisational growth in the data centre business.
His appointment comes as Electromech expands its capabilities in the data centre segment and looks to capture opportunities emerging from India’s growing digital infrastructure needs, as well as international markets.
In his new role, Ansari will work with customers across pre-sales, technical requirements, commercial discussions and project estimation. He will also help develop processes and capabilities aimed at making the business more scalable as project complexity increases.
Ansari has worked at Daanish Electricals & Sales Private Limited as a site engineer, Listenlights Pvt. Ltd. as a project engineer, JLL as an assistant project lead and NTT Global Data Centers as a specialist in construction projects.
His experience covers the data centre project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to execution, commissioning and customer relationship management. Electromech said this background would allow him to bring both technical and commercial perspectives to the role.
Electromech Infraprojects Ltd. AVP, data centre solutions and growth Adnan Ansari said India’s data centre opportunity will increasingly depend on the industry’s ability to execute more complex projects.
“AI is also changing the infrastructure requirements of data centres, with higher rack densities and greater adoption of advanced cooling technologies. At Electromech, I look forward to strengthening our data centre business, building scalable processes and working closely with customers to support the delivery of future-ready digital infrastructure,” Ansari said.
He added that he would also contribute to the company’s expansion across India and the GCC.
The push comes as the rise of AI and cloud computing raises demands on data centre infrastructure. Higher power densities and evolving cooling requirements are increasing the need for expertise spanning electrical systems, cooling, planning and project execution.
Ansari will also support Electromech’s growing focus on the GCC data centre market, working on business development and bidding opportunities alongside its UAE team. The mandate is expected to help the company strengthen its international presence while building capabilities for increasingly complex digital infrastructure projects.
The appointment also forms part of Electromech’s wider plans to build the organisational systems needed to support its growth ambitions. The company is targeting an approximately 50 to 60-fold increase in revenue by 2030, with stronger processes and scalable operating systems expected to support that journey.
With Ansari now tasked with helping power its data centre ambitions, Electromech is betting that the next phase of digital infrastructure growth will require not just more capacity, but sharper execution.
