Duroflex turns up the air on sleep with Airboost mattresses

MUMBAI: A good night’s sleep just got a breath of fresh air. Duroflex Limited has unveiled Airboost, a new mattress material innovation that ditches the old foam-coir-spring playbook and instead leans hard on sleep science, airflow and pressure balance.

Designed for India’s heat, humidity and restless nights, Airboost is built on an open-matrix fibre structure that delivers three times more breathability than conventional materials. With over one lakh independent micro-support points, the mattress continuously adapts to body movement, spreading pressure evenly while keeping airflow uninterrupted from all directions.

Temperature regulation is the big pitch. The 3D open-air design helps dissipate heat away from the body, a factor increasingly linked to deeper, more restorative sleep in warm climates. Duroflex says the material addresses three core sleep needs in one go: posture support, thermal comfort and overnight recovery.

The claims have been put through external scrutiny. After testing against branded mattresses sold in India, Airboost has received approval from the National Health Authority for spinal support and from the Indian Society for Sleep Research for enabling enhanced N3 or slow-wave sleep, the stage associated with physical repair and immune recovery.

The launch builds on Duroflex’s long-running focus on medically backed sleep solutions, following products such as Duropedic and its adjustable and smart mattress lines. According to the company, material innovation in mattresses has lagged lifestyle change, even as longer work hours and rising stress levels continue to erode sleep quality.

Manufactured in India and produced at Duroflex’s Hosur facility, the Airboost range will be sold under the Duropedic portfolio in multiple comfort variants and thickness options. It will be available across Duroflex Experience Centres, select retail outlets and online platforms nationwide.

In short, Duroflex is betting that better airflow, not more foam, could be the real key to waking up refreshed.
