Dheeraj Sinha re-elected as The Ad Club president; new managing committee announced
Amitesh Rao, Ajay Kakar, Sonia Huria and Pradeep Dwivedi join the president in the top team, with Rana Barua as immediate past president
MUMBAI: A new year, new perspectives and a fresh set of hands on the wheel. The Ad Club has unveiled its managing committee for 2026-2027, and Dheeraj Sinha is at the helm as president.
Sinha is joined by an office-bearer line-up that covers every key seat. Amitesh Rao is vice president, Ajay Kakar is secretary, Sonia Huria is joint secretary and Pradeep Dwivedi is treasurer. It is a compact, clearly defined top team, and in an industry that rarely stands still, that clarity matters.
The managing committee members are Aparna Bhawal, Darshana Shah, Jitender Dabas, Mitrajit Bhattacharya, Sapangeet Rajwant, Satya Raghavan and Varun Sethuraman. Seven members give the committee real breadth, and it is the working core that turns the club’s plans into action.
The committee has also drawn on wider expertise. The co-opted members are Avinash Kaul, Punitha Arumugam and Sagnik Ghosh. The special invitees are Ajay Chandwani, Amin Lakhani, Amogh Dusad, Debasree Dasgupta, Lulu Raghavan, Saket Jha Saurabh and Subramanyeswar S. Together they bring more voices to the table without crowding the main committee.
Continuity is built in as well. Rana Barua stays on as immediate past president, which keeps institutional memory close to the new leadership.
In all, 23 names make up the 2026-2027 committee: the president, four office-bearers, seven managing committee members, three co-opted members, seven special invitees and the immediate past president. The structure balances fresh energy with experience, and that mix is what an industry body needs when advertising, media and marketing are all being reshaped at speed.
The Ad Club introduced the line-up with a simple message: new perspectives, and the people steering them forward. The year ahead will show how far this team can take it.
