BENGALURU: Performance marketing has a new number, and Dentsu India says it is 3.0. The agency has launched Dentsu Performance Studio, a creative-led performance marketing practice focused on “Performance Marketing 3.0”, with the aim of making creative, media and data pull in the same direction.

The studio operates from a 3,000-square-foot production facility in Bengaluru. According to a media statement, the practice integrates creative strategy, AI production and media expertise under its “Results in a Box” framework to deliver over 1,000 assets monthly.

Two executives will run the show. Vidhu Ravinath and Archisman Sarangi have been appointed as vice-presidents and business heads to lead the unit.

The pitch is spelled out by Abhirup Datta, chief executive officer, Performance Practice Media Solutions, Dentsu India, and chief executive officer, Sokrati India. “Performance marketing is entering a new chapter,” he said. “The winning model will bring creative, media and measurement together to deliver outcomes at scale.”

Note the ordering of that sentence. Creative comes first, media second and measurement third, and all three are meant to work together rather than in separate departments. That is the heart of the proposition.

Ravinath and Sarangi added their own view of what the new era demands. “Performance 3.0 requires an always-on engine where every creative decision is informed by performance,” they said. “Dentsu Performance Studio brings creative strategy, AI production and media together on one connected data system.”

The analysis is straightforward. Performance marketing has long been about buying media and measuring the result. The studio’s premise is that the creative itself is now part of the performance engine, and that every creative decision should be informed by performance. Volume matters too. An output of more than 1,000 assets a month suggests a model built for constant testing and refreshing of creative, and AI production is the tool that makes such a pace practical. Housing creative strategy, AI production and media in one Bengaluru facility, on one connected data system, is designed to shorten the distance between an idea and its results.

The leadership structure is also telling. Two business heads at vice-president level, backed by a chief executive officer who oversees both Performance Practice Media Solutions at Dentsu India and Sokrati India, point to a practice with clear ownership from the outset. For clients, “Results in a Box” promises something simple: creative, media and measurement delivered together, with outcomes at scale.
