CaratLane launches Raksha Bandhan campaign ‘POV: Bhai Knows Best’

MUMBAI: When it comes to siblings, the banter may be priceless, but the gift needn’t be. Jewellery brand CaratLane has unveiled its Raksha Bandhan campaign, ‘POV: Bhai Knows Best’, starring actors Ashlesha Thakur and Vedant Sinha in a playful take on sibling familiarity, teasing and the pressure to get the perfect gift right.

The campaign film leans into the everyday chemistry between a brother and sister, with their relationship unfolding through jokes, jibes and the sort of effortless teasing that comes with knowing someone a little too well.

At the centre of the story is the brother’s attempt to pick a gift for his sister based on what he believes he knows about her tastes and preferences. Rather than making the gifting moment overly sentimental, the film uses their shared experiences and informal exchanges to show how years of familiarity can influence even a jewellery choice.

Saumen Bhaumik, managing director, CaratLane, said the campaign draws on the inside jokes, playful banter and memories that shape sibling relationships, adding that the brand wanted the film to capture that dynamic in a way that feels relatable.

The campaign also puts the spotlight on CaratLane’s diamond jewellery range, with pieces starting at ₹5,000. As part of the campaign communication, the brand is offering a flat 30% discount on diamond prices across its designs.

The film is being rolled out across CaratLane’s digital platforms, while the jewellery collection is available through its stores and online channels.

The campaign forms part of the brand’s marketing activity around Raksha Bandhan, which falls on August 28 this year, using the festival’s familiar brother-sister equation to turn a little sibling know-how into a gifting proposition.

After all, bhai knows best or at least, that is what he’ll be claiming when the gift finally lands.
