Campus Activewear Q1 profit rises 18 per cent on double digit growth
Revenue climbs 12.2 per cent to Rs 385 crore as footwear volumes grow 11.7 per cent
MUMBAI: Campus is putting its best foot forward, and this quarter, the numbers are walking the talk. As demand for affordable sports and athleisure footwear gathers pace, India’s largest omnichannel sports footwear brand has laced up a strong start to FY27 with healthy gains in both sales and profitability.
Campus Activewear Ltd. reported a 12.2 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to Rs 385.2 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, while profit after tax (PAT) rose 17.7 per cent to Rs 26.1 crore.
The company sold 57.1 lakh pairs of footwear during the quarter, up 11.7 per cent from a year earlier, reflecting broad-based demand across its portfolio. Average selling price remained largely stable at Rs 674 per pair compared with Rs 671 in the corresponding quarter last year.
Operating performance also remained resilient. EBITDA increased 13.3 per cent to Rs 62.7 crore, while the EBITDA margin was steady at 15.9 per cent. PAT margin improved by 20 basis points to 6.6 per cent from 6.4 per cent a year ago.
The company said growth was driven by strong momentum across its women’s and kids’ categories, supported by design-led product development, a sharper product assortment and continued execution across its omnichannel retail network.
Despite facing higher raw material prices and increased labour costs following minimum wage revisions, Campus maintained profitability through calibrated pricing, prudent sourcing, productivity gains and an improved product mix.
Preparing for the festive and seasonal demand ahead, the company also recorded its highest-ever first-quarter production, building inventory across key channels and categories to ensure product availability.
Beyond financial performance, Campus continued investing in its brand. During the quarter, it hosted a nationwide distributor meet to strengthen partner engagement, introduced its premium lifestyle range Élan by Campus with actor Jim Sarbh and unveiled a refreshed corporate logo as part of its broader brand evolution.
For the full financial year ended March 2026, Campus had reported revenue of Rs 1,774.1 crore, EBITDA of Rs 314.7 crore with a margin of 17.5 per cent, and PAT of Rs 150.1 crore with a margin of 8.4 per cent. The latest quarterly performance suggests the footwear maker has begun FY27 on a firm stride, even as it navigates cost pressures and intensifying competition in India’s fast-growing athleisure market.
