Brother India expects over 20 per cent printer growth this festive season
Company targets 5 to 10 per cent FY27 growth after 19 per cent rise in FY26
MUMBAI: Brother India is hoping its festive printout comes with a little extra ink, projecting more than 20 per cent growth in the printer category across Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali and Bhai Dooj. The outlook follows a 19 per cent year-on-year growth recorded by the company in FY26. For FY2026-27, Brother India has set a broader growth outlook of 5 to 10 per cent, supported by what it expects to be sustained demand during and after the festive period.
The company expects demand to span its printing portfolio as households and small businesses increasingly look for reliable, value-driven printing solutions ahead of the festive season. Brother India said buyers are also showing a preference for durable, multi-use products rather than one-time purchases.
The festive push comes as the company looks to expand its presence in India’s printing and imaging market. Brother India currently holds a share of the country’s ink tank printer segment and has set a target of doubling its growth over the next phase.
That expansion is being backed by a wider product portfolio, a larger dealer network and deeper penetration into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The company is also focusing more closely on small and medium businesses while increasing its digital engagement.
Alok Nigam, Managing Director, Brother International India, said the company’s 19 per cent FY26 growth provides a base for carrying momentum into the festive months. He added that the company expects demand from Indian households and small businesses looking for everyday printing technology across both metro and non-metro markets.
Brother India is also scaling its retail and e-commerce partnerships ahead of the festive season to improve availability across different markets. The company expects this wider reach to support demand through the festive period and into FY2026-27.
Its operations currently span Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata and Lucknow, supported by a network of 15 warehouses across the country. Distribution runs through authorised dealers and major e-commerce platforms, with the company also expanding its presence in emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
With festive shopping moving beyond the traditional big-ticket categories, Brother India is betting that printers can find their place in the season’s shopping basket, one page, one home and one small business at a time.
