MUMBAI: Borosil is keeping its growth plans firmly on track, with the consumerware maker reporting a 10.3 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone revenue from operations to Rs 256.56 crore in the first quarter of FY27.

The company’s board met on August 14 to approve the results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, along with a series of changes to its compliance and senior management structure.

Standalone revenue from operations stood at Rs 256.56 crore, compared with Rs 232.69 crore in Q1 FY26. Total income rose to Rs 263.58 crore, including Rs 7.02 crore in other income.

Profitability also improved. Profit before tax increased to Rs 18.23 crore from Rs 15.31 crore in the previous quarter, while net profit came in at Rs 13.60 crore. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at Rs 1.14.

The company reported total standalone expenses of Rs 245.35 crore during the quarter. Employee benefits accounted for Rs 34.06 crore, while other expenses stood at Rs 107.65 crore. Depreciation and amortisation expenses were Rs 21.82 crore.

On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations stood at Rs 253.59 crore and total income at Rs 260.24 crore. Consolidated net profit attributable to owners was Rs 12.80 crore, with earnings per share at Rs 1.07.

The quarter also brought a reshuffle in Borosil’s governance and compliance team.

Bhaunik Shah resigned as company secretary, compliance officer, key managerial personnel and nodal officer with effect from the close of business on August 14. The company said the move was due to an internal role realignment, with Shah continuing in employment with Borosil.

Taking over as company secretary and compliance officer from August 15 is Pradeep Joshi. Joshi brings more than 25 years of experience and has previously worked as chief general manager, company law and company secretary at JK Paper, as well as spending around two decades at Welspun Corp.

Parag Parekh, vice president of internal audit, has also been elevated to senior managerial personnel with effect from August 14. Parekh is a chartered accountant and certified internal auditor with more than 22 years of experience across JSW Group, Deloitte and Hindustan Unilever.

For stock exchange disclosures under Regulation 30(5) of the SEBI Listing Regulations, managing director Shreevar Kheruka and whole-time director Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary continue to be authorised to determine the materiality of events. Chief financial officer Anand Sultania and Joshi have also been added to the authorised personnel for stock exchange disclosures.

Borosil is also expanding its manufacturing capabilities through its wholly owned subsidiary Stylenest India Limited.

The subsidiary commenced commercial production of vacuum-insulated stainless-steel flasks, bottles and containers on June 30. The move expands Borosil’s presence in the growing insulated drinkware segment and adds another manufacturing leg to its consumerware business.

During the quarter, Borosil also allotted 5,500 equity shares under its Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2020. The allotment increased paid-up equity share capital by Rs 0.06 crore to Rs 11.96 crore, while the securities premium account rose by Rs 0.11 crore.

With revenue growth holding up, profitability improving and Stylenest moving into commercial production, Borosil enters FY27 with both its numbers and manufacturing plans showing signs of momentum.
