MUMBAI: boAt has entered the smart projector category with the launch of its CineHead F1 series, expanding beyond audio and wearables into big-screen home entertainment.

The series comprises the CineHead F1 and CineHead F1 Pro, both featuring Official Google TV 5.0, 1080p Full HD native resolution with 4K support, Dolby Audio and automated setup features. The projectors support screen sizes ranging from 40 inches to 120 inches.

The launch comes as consumers increasingly use their homes for OTT streaming, gaming, live sports and other digital entertainment, creating demand for flexible alternatives to conventional large-screen televisions.

Both projectors run on Official Google TV 5.0 and provide access to more than 10,000 apps through the Google Play Store, along with personalised recommendations, multiple user profiles and Kids Mode.

The devices also feature Google Assistant, while the voice-enabled remote comes with dedicated Netflix and YouTube buttons. Wireless screen mirroring allows compatible devices to display content on the projector.

Both models also support auto focus, auto keystone correction and obstacle avoidance, reducing the need for manual adjustments. An adjustable stand allows users to position the projectors across different spaces.

The CineHead F1 Pro features 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, a 10W speaker with Dolby Audio and 1080p Full HD native resolution with 4K support. It can project images of up to 120 inches.

The CineHead F1 comes with 300 ANSI lumens brightness and a 6W speaker with Dolby Audio. It also offers 1080p Full HD native resolution with 4K support, projection of up to 120 inches and a sealed, dust-proof optical engine with up to 30,000 hours of lamp life.

Both models are powered by a MediaTek processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Connectivity options include dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI, USB and AUX, along with HDMI ARC and eARC.

The boAt CineHead F1 Pro is available at an introductory price of Rs 32,999 through boAt’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and select retail stores.

The CineHead F1 is scheduled to launch later in August, with its pricing and availability to be announced closer to launch.

The CineHead F1 series also adds to boAt’s Make in India push. According to the company, 71 per cent of its total units were produced locally in FY2025. The brand has expanded from personal audio and wearables into charging solutions, audio-visual products and other consumer technology categories.
