B4U marketing head to join Ram Gopal Varma’s The Factory

MUMBAI: B4U marketing head Melissa Machado has resigned and will be joining Ram Gopal Varma’s The Factory.
 
 
She will start her new assignment as head of marketing in The Factory from 18 March. “I am joining the new organisation as general manager marketing. I am moving on to explore opportunities in the field of film marketing which, as an evolving industry, is very exciting and challenging,” says Machado.
 
 
Machado’s exit comes soon after B4U appointed BL Gautam as chief operating officer of India operations. The company runs two channels, B4U Movies and B4U Music, which have lost ground. A plan is being formulated to bring the two channels back on track. Senior executives including chief executive officer Ravi Gupta have quit the company over the last two years.
