Arun Icecreams makes New York India Day Parade debut
Hatsun brand distributes over 15,000 ice creams as it expands its US presence
MUMBAI: Arun Icecreams has given the Big Apple a rather cool reason to celebrate. The Hatsun Agro Product flagship ice cream brand made its first-ever appearance at the New York India Day Parade 2026 on August 16, taking its South Indian flavours to Madison Avenue as it looks to build a bigger footprint in the US.
The brand marked its debut with a specially designed parade float and consumer engagement booths along Madison Avenue, where it handed out more than 15,000 ice creams across several flavours.
The spread included Butterscotch Sandwich, Cream n Cookies Donuts, Vanilla Bites, Popitos Kacha Mango and Malai Kulfi, giving the parade crowd a taste of the brand’s existing portfolio as it looks beyond its established South Indian market.
The New York outing comes after Arun Icecreams’ recent expansion into the United States, making the parade an opportunity to put the brand in front of a wider audience while building familiarity in a new market.
For a brand with a long-standing presence in South India, the move marks a shift from regional popularity towards international expansion. Its participation in one of New York’s prominent Indian community celebrations also gives the company a platform to introduce its flavours to consumers beyond India.
R.G. Chandramogan, Chairman, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd., said the parade marked a special occasion for the brand as it continues to strengthen its presence in the US and take its products to international consumers.
Arun Icecreams’ New York debut comes as Hatsun Agro Product looks to extend the brand’s journey beyond its home market, with the company positioning international expansion as a longer-term growth avenue.
