MUMBAI: Some partnerships are built to last, and Arsenal and Emirates are taking that quite literally. The club and the airline have extended their landmark partnership through 2033, keeping one of football’s longest-running commercial relationships firmly on the front foot.

The renewal extends a partnership that began in 2006 and will reach 27 years by the end of the new agreement. It also retains Emirates as Arsenal’s front-of-shirt sponsor across the men’s, women’s and academy teams, as well as training kit partner and stadium naming rights partner.

The Emirates name will therefore continue to adorn Arsenal’s North London home, which remains Emirates Stadium.

The extension comes after Arsenal’s recent Premier League title triumph and as the club prepares for the 2026 Emirates Cup, where it will face Borussia Dortmund in North London.

For Arsenal, the long-term agreement provides commercial continuity as the club competes for domestic and European honours. It also extends initiatives designed to connect the club with its global supporter base, including the Emirates Cup and Global Gooners programme.

Arsenal’s chief executive Richard Garlick said the partnership had been an important part of the club’s journey over the past two decades and that the Premier League title had created an opportunity to raise its ambitions further.

“Our renewal reflects a shared belief in Arsenal’s future and a shared determination to keep moving forward. The best partnerships, like the best teams, never stand still,” said Arsenal’s chief executive Richard Garlick.

Emirates president Sir Tim Clark said the relationship had grown beyond a traditional sponsorship, with both organisations building connections with Arsenal supporters across the airline’s global network.

“Over the last two decades, Emirates and Arsenal have built something that goes far beyond a traditional partnership, and one we are immensely proud of,” said Emirates president Sir Tim Clark.

The renewal also coincides with the partnership’s 20th anniversary celebrations. Supporter activities are planned alongside a new commemorative film featuring former Arsenal player and current academy manager Per Mertesacker.

For Emirates, the deal continues a high-profile association with one of the world’s most recognisable football clubs. For Arsenal, it locks in a commercial relationship that has now outlasted several generations of players, managers and footballing eras.

With the agreement running until 2033, the two brands are not merely extending the partnership. They are giving one of the Premier League’s most familiar sponsorships another seven years to make history.
