New Delhi: An apple a day kept the slowdown away. Apple delivered its strongest ever June quarter across every geographic market, with India emerging as one of its brightest spots despite persistent supply chain bottlenecks and foreign exchange headwinds.

The iPhone maker reported June quarter revenue of $109.4 billion, a 16 per cent year-on-year increase, while diluted earnings per share rose 29 per cent to $2.02. Gross margin stood at 50.1 per cent, helped by a favourable impact of around two percentage points from tariff refunds. Earnings per share also received a $0.11 boost from the same refunds.

Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook said the company set June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment despite facing “very significant constraints” in its supply chain and unfavourable foreign exchange movements.

“We achieved June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment. We were pleased to see strength across the board with June quarter records in the U.S., Latin America, Western Europe, India, China Mainland, Japan, and Southeast Asia,” Cook said.

India continued to stand out as a key growth engine for Apple, delivering another record revenue quarter. The Mac business led the charge, supported by strong adoption of the new MacBook Neo alongside sustained demand for the iPhone 17 lineup. Even so, Apple acknowledged that iPhone supplies remained constrained in the country during the quarter.

Globally, Mac revenue climbed 29 per cent year on year to $10.4 billion, marking a record June quarter for the product category. The growth was driven by strong sales of the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro, reflecting healthy demand from both new and existing users.

Apple chief financial officer Kevan Parekh said Mac recorded its strongest quarter yet among first-time buyers and customers upgrading from older devices.

“As Tim mentioned, Mac had its best quarter ever for customers new to the Mac and for upgraders worldwide, including in the U.S., China Mainland, and India,” Parekh said.

Apple’s latest results underline the growing importance of India to its global business. While supply constraints continue to limit the availability of some products, strong consumer demand across Macs and iPhones suggests the company is continuing to expand its footprint in one of its fastest-growing markets.
