Air India & flydubai deepen connectivity with new interline partnership

MUMBAI: Air India has entered into a new interline partnership with Dubai-based flydubai to expand global connectivity for passengers travelling through Dubai.

The agreement will allow Air India customers to connect to flydubai’s network through Dubai on single-ticket itineraries, with through-checked baggage. The partnership will also enable flydubai passengers to access Air India’s growing international network.

Through flydubai, Air India passengers will gain connectivity to more destinations across the Middle East and beyond via Dubai. The partnership is part of Air India’s broader effort to expand its network through collaborations with international airlines.

Air India chief commercial officer Nipun Aggarwal said the partnership will give customers greater travel choice and access to markets beyond Air India’s own destinations, while also introducing flydubai passengers to the airline’s expanding international network.

The agreement covers flydubai’s network of more than 120 destinations. Through its interline and codeshare partnerships, the airline offers access to more than 300 destinations worldwide.

flydubai chief executive officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said the partnership with Air India will bring South Asia, Southeast Asia and Australian markets within reach for its passengers connecting through Dubai.

The Air India partnership will also connect flydubai customers to Indian destinations including Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Goa, Jaipur, Pune and Varanasi, along with international destinations such as Bali, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo through Air India’s network.

The interline services are available for booking through the airlines’ websites, the flydubai app, contact centres, travel shops and travel partners.
