Adani Films celebrate women’s everyday wins and choices
AHMEDABAD: Sometimes empowerment is in the little things – the meal she chooses, the ride she takes, the outfit she wears. Capturing these everyday wins, the Adani Foundation has launched a three-film series, ‘Arthik Azadi’, celebrating the freedom women gain through financial independence.
Adani Foundation chairperson Priti G Adani said, “A woman empowered is India empowered. If we truly want progress, women’s potential cannot be optional. It is non-negotiable.”
For nearly three decades, the Foundation has worked to strengthen women’s agency across education, health, livelihoods, climate action and community development. Today it reaches 9.6 million people in 22 states, including two million women across 7,000 villages.
Each film in the series celebrates a simple choice made possible by financial freedom. In The Plate, women pick what they like to eat; The Autorickshaw shows the power to choose their own path; and The Saree highlights the confidence to express identity. Together, they tell a larger story of quiet victories, expanding possibilities for families and communities alike.
Because money is more than money, it is a choice, and Indian women are claiming theirs, one small victory at a time.
