Acer launches Iconia Tab 11 and Tab 12 5G tablets in India

MUMBAI: Acer is giving tablet users a bigger screen to play with, and a faster connection to work with. The technology brand has expanded its Iconia portfolio in India with two new 5G tablets, the Iconia Tab 11 5G and Iconia Tab 12 5G, targeting users who want one device for streaming, studying and getting work done.

Starting at Rs 23,990, the new models combine 90Hz displays, MediaTek processors and support for keyboard and stylus accessories. The larger-screen Tab 12 is positioned for professional and enterprise use, while the Tab 11 is designed to balance entertainment, learning and everyday productivity.

The Iconia Tab 11 5G features a 10.95-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, brightness of 450 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Iconia Tab 12 5G steps up to a 12.2-inch IPS display with 2400 × 1600 resolution, 400 nits brightness, a 90Hz refresh rate and full lamination.

Both tablets run on the MediaTek MT8755 octa-core processor, comprising two A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. They are available with 8GB of memory and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.

Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, alongside a USB Type-C port, Micro SD support and a SIM plus hybrid SIM slot. Both models also support keyboard flip covers and styluses, with docking through the keyboard flip cover, and feature fingerprint recognition.

The Tab 11 measures 261.74 × 177.68 × 7.95mm, combining a relatively slim profile with its large display. Acer has not specified the dimensions of the Tab 12 in its announcement.

Both tablets feature an 8MP front camera. The Tab 11 has a 13MP rear camera, while the Tab 12 adds a 16MP rear camera and a 2MP macro camera.

The Iconia Tab 12 5G also packs a 10,000mAh battery with 9V/2A charging, aimed at supporting extended use across work and entertainment.

Acer India chief business officer Sudhir Goel said the portfolio expansion reflects changing consumer expectations from tablets, with connectivity, immersive displays and productivity accessories becoming important considerations across work, learning and entertainment.

The Acer Iconia Tab 11 5G starts at Rs 23,990 and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart and Acer’s online store.

The Iconia Tab 12 5G starts at Rs 26,990 and will be available through Flipkart, Amazon, Acer exclusive stores and the Acer online store.

With a Rs 3,000 difference between their starting prices, the two models give buyers a choice between a more compact display and a larger, higher-resolution screen, while retaining the same core processor, memory configuration and 5G connectivity.
