MUMBAI: Accor has promoted Tejus Jose to vice president, asset management for India and South Asia, as the hospitality group sharpens its focus on portfolio performance and long-term value creation in the region.

In his new role, Jose will work on improving asset performance, strengthening relationships with hotel owners and driving strategic initiatives across Accor’s portfolio.

He brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience, having held leadership positions at Accor, Hilton, Marriott International and The Oberoi Group. His expertise spans hotel operations, commercial performance, business strategy and leadership.

Before the promotion, Jose served as director of operations for ibis and ibis Styles India, overseeing the two brands’ operations across the country. His experience in operations, sales and marketing has given him an understanding of hotel profitability, operational efficiency and commercial strategy.

Commenting on the elevation, Accor South Asia CEO Ranju Alex said Jose’s understanding of hotel operations and business performance would support the group’s focus on asset management and long-term value creation.

“His ability to build strong owner partnerships and align operational priorities with business objectives will be instrumental in supporting the continued growth of our portfolio and delivering sustainable outcomes for our partners,” Alex said.

Jose said he would draw on his experience across hotel operations, sales and marketing to improve asset performance and deepen relationships with owners and other stakeholders.

His career has taken him through sales management and operational leadership roles in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, giving him experience across multiple hospitality markets.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he specialised in strategy, Jose has also completed Cornell University’s CXO Leadership Programme. The programme further developed his understanding of strategic leadership, AI-driven business models and financial management.

Accor said the appointment would support its efforts to strengthen asset management capabilities and build long-term value across India and South Asia.
