MUMBAI: Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as chief marketing officer, effective October 1, 2026, as the consulting and technology company looks to strengthen its brand and demand-generation efforts amid the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence.

Chalwin will oversee Accenture’s global marketing and communications organisations and report to chair and CEO Julie Sweet.

She joins Accenture from Workday, where she served as chief marketing officer and was responsible for building the company’s brand and driving customer demand across global markets.

Before Workday, Chalwin held senior marketing leadership positions at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee and Macrovision. She brings more than 30 years of global marketing experience, with a track record of positioning complex technology innovations for customers and translating them into commercial opportunities.

Accenture chair and CEO Julie Sweet said Chalwin is a proven growth leader who can connect brand, demand and sales as the company helps organisations reinvent their businesses through AI.

Chalwin said the appointment gives her an opportunity to build on Accenture’s brand as organisations rethink growth in the age of AI. She added that she would focus on strengthening market influence, driving demand and deepening client relationships while keeping human connection central to the company’s marketing approach.

Chalwin has been recognised among leading global marketing executives, including on Forbes’ World’s Most Influential CMOs list. She has also featured on the B2B CMO 100 and Chief’s New Era of Leadership lists and is a member of the Fortune Most Powerful Women network.

Accenture serves around 9,000 clients and has approximately 799,000 employees globally. The company reported around $70 billion in revenue for FY25 and provides services spanning cybersecurity, digital core, finance, industry and enterprise, Song, supply chain and engineering, and talent, alongside AI, data and technology capabilities.
