Aayush Chauhan promoted to Director Programmatic at WPP Media
Rises after 2.5-year stint, scaling strategy and delivery across accounts
MUMBAI: From bids to big bets, the programmatic playbook gets a new captain. Aayush Chauhan has been promoted to director of programmatic at WPP Media, marking a step up after two and a half years of driving campaign execution, strategy and performance across key accounts. Chauhan’s journey within the network reflects a steady climb from Associate Director to now leading programmatic strategy mirroring the growing importance of data-led media buying in today’s advertising ecosystem. Over this period, he has transitioned from an execution-focused role to one centred on solving delivery challenges, optimising performance and driving measurable business outcomes.
His work has spanned large-scale campaigns across platforms such as DV360 and The Trade Desk, with a strong emphasis on data, measurement and operational efficiency cornerstones of modern programmatic advertising.
Before joining WPP Media, Chauhan built his experience across key industry players including Xaxis, Criteo and Publicis Media, working across campaign operations, media strategy and digital marketing.
The promotion comes at a time when programmatic is evolving from a back-end execution tool to a strategic growth lever, with agencies increasingly leaning on automation, data intelligence and cross-channel optimisation to deliver sharper outcomes.
With Chauhan stepping into the director role, the focus is likely to sharpen further on scaling programmatic capabilities, where precision targeting meets performance-driven storytelling in an increasingly automated media landscape.
