Aakriti Kaul joins Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios as social media manager
The marketer, who built her career across OnePlus, BYJU’S, Embassy Group and WeWork India, takes charge of social from Mumbai
BENGALURU: From phone launches to streaming premieres. Aakriti Kaul has joined Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios as social media manager, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She started in October 2026, after two years and ten months at OnePlus in Bengaluru.
Kaul said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Social Media Manager at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios!”
She describes herself as a passionate marketeer with over five years of experience in building ground-up product concepts rooted in consumer insights, and in end-to-end project management. She is excited about brand building and content creation that bring brand personalities alive and win brand love. She is also deeply proficient in SEM, SEO, content marketing, trend monitoring and capitalising on strategic, business-driving opportunities.
The analysis is simple. Social media for a streaming service is a job of storytelling at speed, and Kaul has spent her career doing exactly that for big consumer names. At OnePlus she was manager, digital marketing, from April 2025 to September 2026, crafting brand and product narratives across OnePlus categories through sharp writing, thoughtful scripting and storytelling that aims to bring every launch to life. Before that she was content specialist at the company from December 2023 to April 2025.
Her BYJU’S years show the scale she has worked at. She spent two years and two months at the company. From October 2021 to September 2022 she was social media specialist, strategy point of contact for the entire Indian and international verticals, handling the strategising and operationalising of all social media pages. From September 2022 to November 2023 she was lead, brand and creative strategy. In that role she remained strategy point of contact for the Indian and international verticals and primarily handled brand content that goes on all digital platforms, from strategising campaigns around high-visibility partnerships to operationalising content on various digital platforms.
The earlier steps built the base. From July 2020 to September 2021 Kaul was senior marketing executive at Embassy Group in Bengaluru. She carved out brand identity and visual communication guidelines for different verticals and owned the execution of brand collaterals and content, including photo and video shoots. From July 2019 to July 2020 she was digital marketing associate at WeWork India in Bengaluru, working on marketing automation, performance marketing and social media branding strategy, with a special focus on content and analytics.
Her start was international. In summer 2018, from May to August, she was marketing and IT strategist intern at VetsEZ in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was responsible for creating a new marketing strategy from scratch for one of the leading IT service providers for Veteran Affairs and the Department of Defense of the US government.
The takeaway is positive. Kaul brings a mix of content craft, brand strategy, performance know-how and platform-level social experience to a team that lives on audience conversation. For a streaming brand, that is a sound fit.
