360 ONE appoints Aashish Agarwal as CEO of 360 ONE WAM Group
Karan Bhagat moves to vice chairman and MD as the group sharpens its three-business structure
MUMBAI: 360 ONE WAM Group has appointed investment banking veteran Aashish Agarwal as its chief executive officer, as the financial services group reshapes its leadership to drive its next phase of growth.
Agarwal will work alongside 360 ONE founders, while current managing director and CEO Karan Bhagat will move to the role of vice chairman and continue as managing director. Bhagat will focus on group strategy, capital allocation, and key client and institutional relationships.
Co-founder Yatin Shah will continue to lead 360 ONE’s wealth management business, which has been a core part of the group’s growth over the past 18 years.
The new leadership structure is aimed at bringing greater focus to 360 ONE’s three key verticals: wealth management, asset management and capital markets.
The group said the structure will allow it to bring the combined capabilities of its businesses to families and institutions through a single platform. It also sees the integrated model as important as India’s economy expands and clients, including family offices and institutions, seek more sophisticated financial services.
Bhagat said the new structure would allow each business to operate with sharper focus while continuing to function as part of one group.
“I am extremely excited to continue to build and accelerate the 360 ONE platform, especially at this stage of our country’s journey,” Bhagat said. He added that Agarwal brings “exceptional financial services depth and an owner’s mindset” to the group’s next phase of growth.
Agarwal joins 360 ONE from Jefferies, where he has served as managing director and country head since April 2020. During his six-year tenure, he helped expand the firm’s India franchise.
Before Jefferies, Agarwal spent 13 years with CLSA, where he was executive director and head of research. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he worked from 2004 to 2007.
A chartered accountant and postgraduate from SPJIMR, Mumbai, Agarwal brings experience across capital markets, investment banking and asset management, along with institutional and investor relationships.
“I am delighted to be joining 360 ONE,” Agarwal said. “Karan and Yatin have built an exceptional franchise over 18 years, and I look forward to working closely with them to build an Indian financial institution of enduring scale and global standing.”
He added that India’s wealth creation journey remains at an early stage, with increasingly sophisticated clients and family offices seeking services spanning investing, capital raising and strategic advice.
360 ONE currently manages assets of more than Rs 7.8 lakh crore ($82 billion) and serves more than 8,900 families, corporates and institutions. The group said the expanded leadership structure is intended to position it for the scale of financial services that India’s next phase of economic growth will require.
