View TV announces 16-channel CTV linear TV network
Next-generation FAST network spans 14 core genres, from sports and movies to comedy, food and kids, with premium programming and wide distribution
Sixteen channels, 14 genres and a firm jab at the FAST channel crowd. View TV is announcing the launch of a new 16-channel CTV linear TV network, a curated portfolio of professionally programmed, ad-supported television channels built for the next generation of streaming television.
Built around the View TV flagship proposition, the network aims to move beyond the traditional FAST channel model. It combines broadcast-quality linear programming, strong channel identities, premium content and a distribution strategy focused on audience reach, engagement and commercial value.
The 16 channels cover a broad range of genres and audiences, creating a complete linear television ecosystem for Connected TV viewers. Rather than adding another collection of channels to an already crowded FAST marketplace, View TV is positioning the network around quality, discoverability and consistent programming. The channels are designed to feel like genuine television networks rather than content loops. They give audiences compelling reasons to watch, and give advertisers and content owners a more valuable environment in which to reach viewers at scale.
The network is a CTV network designed to deliver a broad entertainment proposition across 14 core genres, giving audiences a genuine network experience rather than a collection of disconnected FAST channels. It brings together entertainment, lifestyle, factual, sports, movies, comedy, music, property, food, automotive and family programming, all built around the principle of giving audiences great television rather than endless choice. Surrounding the flagship is a collection of specialist channels, each built around a clearly defined audience and genre, so viewers can move seamlessly from mainstream entertainment into dedicated destinations. Together, the channels aim to bring the quality, discovery and personality of traditional television to the streaming generation.
The flagships
At the heart of the network are two flagship channels. View TV One (VTN01) is the primary flagship destination. It brings together the strongest and most premium content from across the network into a single, curated, 24-hour viewing experience, with the breadth, quality and programming flow of a premium cable channel. It combines premium library programming with original productions, exclusive content and carefully selected programming from across the View TV ecosystem. Its schedule is built around audience variety, with multiple genres brought together into a coherent linear schedule for a broad, mainstream audience.
View TV One is designed to recreate many of the strengths of traditional cable television while taking advantage of the reach, flexibility and data capabilities of modern Connected TV. Rather than making audiences search through hundreds of individual FAST channels or endless on-demand libraries, it offers a programmed experience where the next show is always ready to watch. It is the leading showcase for View TV’s growing portfolio of original productions and premium acquired content. It also gives content owners and advertisers a high-quality, professionally programmed television environment.
View TV Plus (VTN02) is the companion flagship, carrying the same schedule as View TV One, but 24 hours behind. It is a +24 timeshift via DVR that gives viewers a second chance to watch programmes they missed on View TV One, 24 hours after original transmission. The strategy is deliberately simple. When viewers do not want to watch View TV One at the time a programme is available, View TV Plus lets them discover and watch it the following day. Rather than competing with the primary channel, it acts as an additional audience-capture mechanism, helping the network maximise reach, viewing hours and content utilisation across the CTV ecosystem. Together, the two flagships form the core of a 16-channel network designed around audience choice, repeat discovery and consistent, scalable CTV monetisation.
The specialist channels
View TV Sports (VTN03) is a dedicated Connected TV sports channel. It combines high-audience mainstream sports with niche and specialist content, including emerging competitions, specialist events and passionate fan-driven programming. It follows the entire property journey, from finding and buying a home to renovating and designing it. It is aimed at homeowners, property enthusiasts, investors and designers.
Only Motors (VTN09), also styled OnlyMotors TV, is the men and motors channel. Taking inspiration from shows such as Top Gear and The Grand Tour, it is deliberately irreverent, energetic and petrolhead-focused. It combines supercars, classic cars, motorsport, road trips, car reviews, modifications, restorations, automotive technology and outrageous automotive challenges. It is about the culture and lifestyle around cars, with humour, competition, excitement and escapism.
Yum (VTN10) is the food and cooking channel. It offers recipes, cooking competitions, celebrity chefs, restaurant discoveries, food travel, baking, street food, culinary challenges and behind-the-scenes food stories. View TV Local (VTN11) is the local news and TV channel. Built around the View TV One model, it combines premium network content with localised news, local stories, community programming, regional events, local personalities, businesses, culture and original productions for specific markets. It is designed to deliver the scale of a modern streaming network with the relevance of traditional local television.
Makr (VTN12), short for “Maker”, is the creators channel. It brings the energy and personalities of YouTube and social media into a professionally programmed Connected TV environment, turning successful digital formats and communities into television across entertainment, lifestyle, technology, comedy, challenges, travel, food, DIY, gaming and specialist interests. It bridges the creator economy and traditional television, giving digital-first talent an audience beyond social platforms.
Liv (VTN13), short for “Living”, is the well-being and health channel. It covers health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, healthy cooking, mindfulness, lifestyle, personal development, beauty, wellbeing and everyday living. It combines expert-led programming, real-life stories, practical advice and lifestyle series with original productions, in pursuit of a better life.
PoPCorn (VTN14) is the 24/7 movie channel. It offers classic cinema, cult favourites, modern hits, critically acclaimed films and present-day blockbusters, spanning genres, decades and styles, for movie lovers of every generation.
Rathergood Boys (VTN15) and Rathergood Girls (VTN16) are the kids’ channels, in a safe, family-friendly and content-safe environment that parents can trust. Rathergood Boys brings together adventure, animation, action, comedy, science, technology, gaming, sports, exploration, challenges and imaginative storytelling for boys across different age groups and interests. Rathergood Girls offers animation, adventure, comedy, friendship, music, fashion, creativity, science, animals, storytelling and imaginative entertainment. It is designed to celebrate curiosity, creativity, confidence and friendship.
Distribution and technology
The network is designed for distribution wherever audiences consume television. Through its distribution infrastructure, the channels can be delivered across major CTV OEM platforms, connected set-top boxes, smart televisions and streaming devices. They can also extend beyond the home into airline seat-back entertainment systems, connected in-car services, bars, restaurants, hospitality venues and other out-of-home environments through a large-scale OOH television network. The aim is to make the channels available wherever there is a screen and an audience, from the home to the road, and from the aircraft cabin to the local bar or restaurant.
The network represents View TV’s next-generation approach to FAST and Streaming TV, where the focus shifts from simply distributing channels to creating measurable commercial value from every hour viewed. Through View TV’s technology, content, advertising and distribution infrastructure, the 16 channels are designed for deployment across major CTV platforms and emerging television environments, including connected TVs, set-top boxes and other large-screen viewing ecosystems. The objective is simple: build a modern linear television network that delivers better content, better audience experiences and, ultimately, better economics for viewers, advertisers and content partners.
The logic of the launch is easy to read. FAST is crowded, and many channels are little more than loops with ads attached. View TV is betting that audiences and advertisers will reward something that looks and feels like a real network, with a flagship to anchor the schedule, a timeshift to catch late viewers and specialist channels to hold loyal niches. The timeshift is a neat touch, because it squeezes more viewing hours and more value out of the same content. Distribution beyond the living room, from aircraft seat-backs to cars and bars, widens the audience further. If the network delivers on its promise of measurable value from every hour viewed, View TV will have given the FAST market something it has long lacked: a proper television lineup.
