Vi partners Spotify to offer three months of Premium on postpaid plans
MUMBAI: Looks like the playlist just got a free encore. Vi is turning up the volume on customer rewards by bundling Spotify Premium with select postpaid plans, as telecom operators continue to compete through digital entertainment offerings. Vi has partnered with Spotify to offer eligible postpaid subscribers three months of Spotify Premium at no additional cost across select individual and family plans, expanding its portfolio of value-added entertainment services.
The offer is available on Vi’s individual postpaid plans priced at Rs 451, Rs 551, Rs 751 and Rs 1,201 (REDX), along with select family postpaid plans. After the complimentary period ends, users can continue their Spotify Premium subscription through Vi’s ‘Add to Bill’ facility at Rs 139 per month.
Eligible subscribers will gain access to Spotify Premium features, including ad-free music streaming, offline downloads, unlimited skips and high-quality audio, offering a richer listening experience without interruptions.
The partnership reflects the growing role of bundled digital services in India’s telecom market, where operators are increasingly using content partnerships to strengthen customer engagement and differentiate premium plans.
Eligible users who have not previously subscribed to Spotify can activate the complimentary Premium membership directly through the Vi app.
Vi chief marketing officer Avneesh Khosla said music remains central to customers’ digital lifestyles, adding that the collaboration with Spotify further strengthens the company’s entertainment ecosystem built through partnerships with global content providers.
Spotify India managing director Amarjit Batra said the partnership marks Spotify’s first telecom collaboration in India and is aimed at making Spotify Premium more accessible to music and podcast listeners across the country. He added that the initiative would not only enhance the listening experience for users but also create greater long-term value for artists, creators and the wider music industry.
