India Today Group launches Life Tak microdrama platform
The mobile-first platform unveils its flagship vertical series, an AI-aided retelling of the Ramayan, with Devendra Fadnavis at the India Today Conclave 2026
MUMBAI: Short, sharp and vertical: India Today Group is going big on microdramas. The group has announced its entry into premium digital fiction and infotainment on Life Tak, its mobile-first microdrama platform, and it chose the biggest stage it had to do it. The flagship short-form series, Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram (RRRR), was unveiled at the India Today Conclave 2026 in Mumbai on 9th October 2026.
The official teaser was launched jointly by Devendra Fadnavis, chief minister of Maharashtra, and Aroon Purie, chairman and editor-in-chief, India Today Group.
Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram modernises the eternal narrative of the Ramayan into a fast-paced, high-intensity vertical format. Tailor-made for digital-first audiences, the series blends deep cultural storytelling with cutting-edge production values, delivering an experience optimised for modern short-form binging.
It is also a statement of intent. The series is the first of many from the creative, tech-forward ecosystem of India Today Group, where advanced AI-driven visual engineering, script generation tools and creative world-building converge to reimagine classic and new stories for contemporary viewers.
