Singapore Tourism Board launches travel series on JioHotstar from October 31
Singapore Tourism Board’s new four-episode travel series, streaming exclusively from October 31, follows Pratik Gandhi, Maniesh Paul, Sameera Reddy and Atul Khatri with their families
MUMBAI: A high-speed race, an argument over the best dish in Chinatown, and a wildlife encounter that leaves everyone speechless. That is a family holiday in Singapore, and now the whole of India can watch it. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has made The Great Indian Family Holiday: Singapore Edition, a four-episode travel series streaming exclusively on JioHotstar from October 31, 2026.
The format is simple. Four of India’s most beloved families trade their routines for something more memorable. Actor Pratik Gandhi explores Singapore across three generations. Television host Maniesh Paul goes full throttle with his kids. Actress Sameera Reddy finds her own rhythm in the city. Comedian Atul Khatri does what he does best, eating his way through Singapore with his family in tow.
Each episode is its own adventure. Viewers will see the families behind the wheel at HyperDrive, navigating the flavours of Chinatown, meeting wildlife at Mandai Rainforest Adventure, diving into the underwater world at Singapore Oceanarium, stepping back in time at the Peranakan Museum, and ending the night with the magic of Wings of Time in Sentosa. The release says the series also captures something harder to put in a brochure: a city that keeps surprising you, and a holiday that brings a family closer together in ways they did not expect.
The smart part is the choice of storyteller. A brochure tells a family what to do. A real family shows what it feels like. Serene Woon, area director for India, the Middle East and South Asia at STB, says Indian families do not just want a holiday, they want moments they will still be talking about years later. In her words, Singapore is a city where three generations can each find something made for them, yet still come together over shared experiences. The series, she says, shows that side of the city through real families, real moments and joy that cannot be scripted. If even one family watches and thinks “that could be us”, she says, STB has done its job.
The cast bring that to life in their own words. Gandhi says families rarely get to try so many new things together, especially across three generations, and that watching everyone from the oldest to the youngest enjoy themselves in their own way was the most special part. There were many firsts, he says, and the bee experience and the Circle of Trust stayed with him. He did not expect those moments to be the ones he would keep thinking about, and he says the family is still talking about them. They came back, he says, with memories that all generations will carry for life.
Paul and his wife, Sanyukta Paul, speak as parents who know how quickly the children are growing up. Singapore, they say, gave them the best of both worlds, from adrenaline at HyperDrive and Universal Studios Singapore to quieter moments among nature and wildlife at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. They tried new things, stepped out of their routine and saw the world through the children’s eyes, and they say they will always treasure it.
Reddy and her husband, Akshai Varde, an entrepreneur, say what they love about Singapore is how it lets families step away from everyday routines and enjoy being together. They name the thrill of MegaZip, the magical world of Harry Potter: Visions of Magic and wildlife at the Night Safari. The Night Safari was a highlight, they say, for a completely different way to see animals. They return with wonderful memories and the sense that there is still much more to discover together in Singapore.
Khatri keeps it to the point. A family holiday is always better with good food, he says. Singapore was a perfect mix of family time, new experiences and culinary discoveries, from following clues through Chinatown to finding local favourites. He adds that the family enjoyed outdoor adventures and beautiful sunsets, and that he got in a little golf. In his telling, it was a holiday that kept everyone happy, well fed and entertained.
The series also comes with a way to act on it. STB has partnered with Cleartrip, one of India’s leading online travel platforms, to help families follow in their favourite celebrities’ footsteps. A range of curated holiday packages is already live on Cleartrip, including itineraries inspired by the families in the series. That closes the loop between watching and booking, and it should help turn interest into travel plans.
Taken together, the plan is neat. Celebrity families bring the audience, JioHotstar brings the screen, the attractions bring the stories and Cleartrip brings the booking. For a destination that wants Indian families to see themselves on the streets of Singapore, it is a well-built route from the sofa to the airport. The series streams exclusively on JioHotstar from October 31, 2026.
