S8ul unveils 12 title lineup for Esports World Cup 2026
Indian talent and global stars to compete for $75 million prize pool.
MUMBAI: Game on, and this time it’s not just about pixels, it’s about national pride loading in. S8ul has announced its full competitive roster across 12 titles for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, signalling one of the most ambitious global pushes yet by an Indian esports organisation. The tournament, set to take place in Riyadh from 6 July to 23 August, will feature over 2,000 players from 200 clubs across 100 plus countries, competing for a record-breaking $75 million (approximately INR 711 crore) prize pool.
Blending international heavyweights with homegrown talent, S8ul’s lineup spans mobile, PC, console, fighting, racing, battle royale and strategy genres. The organisation has retained its core squads in Apex Legends, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and MOBA Legends 5v5, while onboarding fresh talent across titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone, EA Sports FC, Fortnite, Honor of Kings, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and Trackmania.
The BGMI roster features Aaryaman Seth (Thunder), Harsh Paudwal (Goblin), Khush Singh (Jokerr), Nakul Sharma (NakuL) and Yash Choudhary (Legit), reinforcing S8UL’s continued commitment to India’s strongest esports discipline. Meanwhile, global signings across Apex Legends, Warzone and Fortnite underline its intent to compete at the highest level internationally.
A standout move this year is S8UL’s Talent Hunt Programme for fighting games, which has identified six Indian players across Fatal Fury, Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. These athletes will receive structured coaching, travel support, stipends and integration into the organisation’s content ecosystem creating a pipeline for Indian fighting game talent to transition from grassroots to global competition.
S8ul co-founder Naman Mathur described the EWC as the “biggest stage in competitive gaming”, adding that S8UL’s strategy reflects a shift from single-title focus to a multi-game, global approach. The organisation aims to balance elite international experience with emerging Indian talent, backed by infrastructure designed to support performance at scale.
With representation across 12 titles and a presence in nearly every major esports genre, S8ul’s 2026 campaign is as much about results as it is about signalling intent. For Indian esports, it’s not just participation anymore, it’s a seat at the global table, with controllers firmly in hand.
