SINGAPORE: RisingJoy is done licensing content to other people’s platforms. The Singapore-based micro entertainment company has launched RJOY, its own direct-to-consumer streaming service, debuting on TikTok Minis in the United States and Japan with 20 original titles lined up for the second half of 2026.

The choice of TikTok Minis as the launch vehicle is deliberate. The in-app feature lets users access vertical content without leaving TikTok, dropping RJOY directly in front of one of the largest and most engaged mobile audiences on the planet. For a content format built entirely around the vertical screen and the short attention span, there is no more natural home.

The originals slate is a mix of AI anime and AI human formats. Titles include Addicted to the Dark Boss and Hide My Secret in the Moonlight, both AI anime shows adapted from existing hit microdramas; AI human titles The Substitute Bride’s Secret Wonderland and Blind Spoiled; and Locked Away, I Break Unbreakable, an original fantasy anime. All are purpose-built for vertical viewing and combine RisingJoy’s content expertise with emerging AI production capabilities.

The markets are not chosen at random either. The United States accounts for nearly half of all global microdrama in-app purchase revenue outside China. Japan ranks second worldwide. Together they represent the most commercially significant beachhead any microdrama platform could ask for.

Cassandra Yang, chief executive and co-founder of RisingJoy, announced the launch at the APOS conference in Bali. “RJOY brings that together in a direct-to-consumer experience, backed by partners who share our belief that micro-entertainment is one of the most significant content opportunities of this generation,” she said.

RisingJoy already operates a content licensing and distribution network spanning more than 30 countries and 50 platforms, covering Chinese, English, Korean and AI-original formats. RJOY is the consumer-facing next step, turning that curation expertise into a branded destination.

The microdrama market is accelerating fast. With its own platform now live, its originals slate loaded and its distribution infrastructure already in place, RisingJoy is no longer just supplying the revolution. It is leading it.
