Prime Video unveils trailer for Telugu crime thriller Isakapatnam
Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh lead seven-episode saga premiering on 2 July.
MUMBAI: Power plays, port wars and shifting loyalties have dropped anchor at Prime Video. The streaming platform has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming Telugu Original series Isakapatnam, a seven-episode crime thriller that dives into a world where crime, politics and personal ambition collide in a fictional coastal town. Set to premiere on July 2, the series will stream on Prime Video in Telugu, with Tamil and Hindi dubs, alongside subtitles in 15 languages including English, across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
Directed by Garry BH and produced by Rahul Tamada and Saideep Reddy Borra under Tamada Media Productions, Isakapatnam is headlined by Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh. The ensemble cast also includes Sunil, Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Rohini, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Varma and Raja Chembolu.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into a gritty port-town battleground where power is the ultimate prize and every alliance comes with an expiry date. Packed with action, betrayal and emotional upheaval, the series explores how greed, revenge and unchecked ambition can redraw destinies and ignite conflicts with far-reaching consequences.
At the heart of the story lies a web of characters driven by competing desires, each navigating a landscape where loyalty is fragile and survival often comes at a cost. The narrative promises a steady stream of twists, with rivalries intensifying as multiple players chase influence and control.
The series marks another significant Telugu Original for Prime Video and arrives as the platform continues to expand its regional content slate. With a mix of crime, drama and political intrigue, Isakapatnam aims to deliver a layered narrative that blends local flavour with universally relatable themes of love, loss, ambition and power.
The launch also forms part of Prime Video’s broader entertainment line-up around Amazon Prime Day, which returns to India this July for its 10th edition. For viewers, however, the immediate attraction may be the storm brewing in Isakapatnam, a place where every tide seems to bring a new betrayal and every victory comes with a hidden price.
