Prime Video sets May 22 premiere for courtroom thriller System
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s legal drama stars Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika in lead roles
Mumbai – Prime Video has announced 22 May as the global premiere date for its upcoming Original film System, a courtroom thriller that promises sharp twists and moral crossfire. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and backed by producers Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Smitha Baliga, the film explores the uneasy intersection of power, privilege and justice.
At its core, System follows Neha Rajvansh, a high profile public prosecutor, and Sarika Rawat, a quietly resilient courtroom stenographer. Despite coming from starkly different worlds, the two women form an unlikely alliance to unearth long buried injustices, forcing them to confront uncomfortable truths and the cost of taking on entrenched power structures.
Written by Harman Baweja, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala and Akshat Ghildial, the film blends legal drama with character driven storytelling. It features Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika in lead roles, alongside Ashutosh Gowariker, with Preeti Agarwal, Adinath Kothare, Aashriya Mishra, Gaurav Pandey and Sayandeep Gupta in key supporting parts.
Described as a powerful and thrilling drama, System delves into ambition, ethics and the grey zones of justice. With its layered narrative and strong performances, the film aims to keep viewers guessing while raising questions that linger beyond the final verdict.
The film will stream exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide from 22 May.
