MUMBAI: PlayStation Plus is giving gamers more reasons to press play this October, with a fresh line-up spanning crime sagas, open-world adventures, co-op chaos and survival horror. Leading the additions are Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West, alongside a mix of newer releases and retro favourites.

The new titles will be available through the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalogue, with selected games arriving on different dates and in specific markets.

Available globally from 20 October, Mafia: The Old Country brings players back to the criminal underworld in a linear, story-driven prequel to the Mafia franchise. The game received an 8/10 from IGN in 2025, with praise for its writing, immersive setting and performances. An expansion has also added further story content for players keen to return to its world.

Joining it on 20 October is Horizon Forbidden West, available on both PS4 and PS5. The sequel to Guerrilla’s open-world action RPG earned a 9/10 from IGN upon release and remains one of PlayStation’s prominent first-party titles.

Players looking for a team effort can also take on Mycopunk, a co-operative looter shooter arriving globally on PS5 on 20 October.

The catalogue expands further on 27 October with three titles available in the US, UK and Japan:

  • Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS4 and PS5)
  • Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition (PS4 and PS5)
  • Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game (PS5)

Meanwhile, The Midnight Walk is available from today on PS5, giving subscribers another title to explore without waiting for the later additions.

PlayStation Plus Premium has two more additions lined up globally for 20 October. Capcom’s survival horror classic Dino Crisis 2 will be available on PS4 and PS5, bringing its dinosaur-filled action back to modern consoles.

Also arriving is RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, available on PS4 and PS5. The theme park management game offers a change of pace for players looking to swap combat and suspense for coaster construction and park planning.

With releases spread across 20 and 27 October, this month’s line-up offers subscribers a little bit of everything, from high-stakes crime stories to prehistoric peril and theme park tinkering.
