JioBlast and Krafton India launch BGMI Gully Wars with Rs 10 lakh prize pool
Open tournament begins October 14 with registrations running until October 6
MUMBAI: The battle is leaving the back alleys and entering the big leagues, as JioBlast and Krafton India Esports have announced BGMI: Gully Wars, an open tournament offering aspiring players a shot at official esports competition and a Rs 10 lakh prize pool.
The tournament is open to participants from across India, with players required to form teams before registering through the Krafton India Esports platform. Registrations are currently open and will close on October 6, 2026.
Players can register through the Tournaments section of the Krafton India Esports website by selecting ‘Register Now’. New users can create an account, while existing users can sign in using their registered credentials or OTP verification.
The competition gets underway with an in-game qualifier running from October 14 to 20. Teams will then progress through a series of rounds designed to narrow the field down to the final 16 teams, which will compete in the Grand Finals.
The tournament is being positioned specifically around grassroots BGMI talent, players who have spent countless hours grinding ranked matches with their squads but have yet to get a chance to test themselves on an official tournament stage.
For JioBlast and Krafton India Esports, the format is intended to create a pathway for these players to move from informal squad battles into organised competitive play, giving newer talent a platform to showcase their skills.
The Rs 10 lakh prize pool adds another incentive, but the bigger draw for emerging players is the chance to make the jump from the ranked lobby to a formal esports tournament.
With registrations open until October 6 and the first qualifiers beginning on October 14, BGMI: Gully Wars is now putting the spotlight on the players waiting for their chance to turn their grind into game time on the competitive stage.
