JetSynthesys and Japan’s MIXI sign MOU to explore gaming collaboration in India
The two companies will explore game development, publishing, marketing, esports and digital entertainment in one of the world’s most exciting gaming markets
India’s gamers have just acquired a powerful new friend in Tokyo. JetSynthesys, a global digital entertainment and technology company, announced on 28th September 2026 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MIXI, Inc., a Japanese digital entertainment company, to explore potential collaboration across video gaming, esports, digital entertainment and marketing.
The logic is neat. The MOU brings together JetSynthesys’ understanding of India’s digital market with MIXI’s experience in gaming and entertainment, with the aim of exploring potential business opportunities in India. One side knows the terrain; the other brings craft and pedigree. Few pairings look so natural on paper.
The scope is broad. Under the MOU, the two companies will explore potential collaboration in the following areas:
- Game development and publishing support
- Marketing and user acquisition initiatives
- Esports and related activities
- Market intelligence and business development support
- Exploring strategic investment opportunities
- Other areas mutually agreed by the parties
That list matters. It runs from the studio floor to the marketing budget to the stadium, and it leaves the door open to strategic investment. In an industry where good games often fail for want of a good route to market, such breadth is a sensible place to start.
Rajan Navani, chairman of JetSynthesys, said: “This partnership brings together complementary strengths from India and Japan, opening new possibilities across video gaming and digital entertainment, with the potential to create experiences for audiences globally.”
The confidence is echoed in Tokyo and in the Japan office. Ryo Shima, chief executive of JetSynthesys Japan, said: “India has emerged as one of the world’s most exciting digital entertainment and gaming markets, and global companies are increasingly looking for the right partner to help them navigate its scale, diversity and opportunity. Our MOU with MIXI reflects this growing confidence in India’s potential. Together, we look forward to combining global expertise with local insight to strengthen India-Japan collaboration and explore products, partnerships and experiences that can resonate with audiences around the world.”
Sadaaki Kaneyoshi, senior corporate officer at MIXI, Inc., said: “India represents one of the most important growth markets for the global gaming industry. Through this MOU with JetSynthesys, we look forward to deepening our understanding of the market and exploring potential opportunities across gaming and digital entertainment.”
Note the pattern. Global players increasingly see India as a market to be understood, not merely entered, and local partners are the shortcut to that understanding. Scale, diversity and opportunity are the three words Shima uses, and each is a fair description of the Indian gaming landscape.
