Heated Rivalry Season 2 adds Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding and Priyanka
New cast joins Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie ahead of the Spring 2027 premiere
MUMBAI: The rivalry is getting a bigger roster. Crave has announced five new cast members for the second season of Heated Rivalry, adding Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka to the returning cast.
The new additions will join Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie in the second season of the hockey drama, which is set to premiere in Spring 2027.
In India, Season 2 of Heated Rivalry will be available exclusively on Lionsgate Play.
Emily Hampshire, known for Schitt’s Creek, will play Vanessa. Edvin Ryding, who starred in Young Royals, will play Luca Haas.
Robert Naylor joins as Wyatt Hayes, while Sabrina Jalees will play Farah Jalali. Priyanka joins the cast as Tarek.
Produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s Crave, Heated Rivalry is created by Jacob Tierney and based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers book series.
The first season followed rival hockey players Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. Their competitive relationship develops into a secret romance that unfolds over several years as they navigate ambition, identity and their growing feelings for each other.
Season 2 will continue the story while expanding its cast and world.
The series is distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company, and is available in more than 130 countries.
Heated Rivalry was commissioned by Crave with participation from the Canada Media Fund and the Bell Fund. Tierney serves as writer, director and executive producer, while Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson are executive producers. Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje serve as producers, with Reid as consulting producer. Mike Goldbach joins as co-writer for Season 2.
With its expanded cast and a new season on the way, Heated Rivalry is gearing up to turn up the temperature once again when it returns in 2027.
