Cricket 26 joins JioGames Cloud gaming lineup
Cricket title is playable across TVs, mobiles and PCs with Pro Pass plans starting at Rs 48
MUMBAI: The cricket season is moving to the cloud, and this time there is no pitch required.
JioGames Cloud has added Cricket 26 to its gaming catalogue, bringing the cricket title to players through its cloud gaming service. The game can be played across TVs, mobile devices, PCs, web browsers and other supported devices, without relying on a traditional console setup.
There is, however, a catch before players can step up to the crease. Cricket 26 requires a Pro Pass subscription on JioGames Cloud, with plans priced at Rs 48 for three days, Rs 98 for seven days and Rs 298 for 28 days.
Cricket 26 offers players different matches and tournaments, with multiple teams, game modes and options built around both playing matches and managing a cricket career. The addition gives JioGames Cloud a dedicated cricket offering alongside its wider catalogue of games.
The existing lineup includes titles such as Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, War Thunder, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4 and Hitman: Absolution, among others.
The move also puts Cricket 26 into a format aimed at making gaming less dependent on where the hardware sits. With cloud streaming, players can access the game across a range of screens, making a mobile, television or PC the gateway to the cricket action.
For users looking to buy rather than stream games, JioGames also operates the JioGames Store, which offers games along with gift cards and vouchers for platforms including Steam, PlayStation and Xbox.
With Cricket 26 now in the cloud, JioGames is effectively taking the game from the crease to the couch and pretty much everywhere in between.
