MUMBAI: A century in, and still narrating nature’s greatest story. BBC Studios is marking 100 years of Sir David Attenborough with a curated showcase of his most iconic works on BBC Player this May, celebrating a career that has defined natural history storytelling for generations. The special collection brings together landmark series such as Planet Earth, Blue Planet and Frozen Planet, tracing decades of groundbreaking filmmaking and Attenborough’s enduring collaboration with BBC Earth. The line-up reflects not just the scale of his work, but its impact in bringing the natural world into living rooms across the globe.

The showcase also features titles like ASIA, the first major BBC wildlife series dedicated entirely to the continent and Mammals, which explores species ranging from the tiny Etruscan shrew to the blue whale. Together, these programmes highlight both the diversity of life on Earth and the storytelling innovation that has become synonymous with Attenborough’s voice.

Additional documentaries in the collection include Dinosaurs: The Final Day with David Attenborough, Extinction: The Facts and Seven Worlds, One Planet, each offering distinct perspectives on ecosystems, species evolution and environmental change.

After 100 years, the voice may be familiar but the wonder it brings still feels brand new.
