15-year-old Craime becomes Esports World Cup’s youngest champion in Street Fighter 6

Paris: Age proved to be just a number as 15-year-old Jaime ‘Craime’ Bustos stole the spotlight at Week 4 of the Esports World Cup 2026, becoming the youngest champion in the tournament’s history after a dominant Street Fighter 6 triumph.

Representing Team Falcons, the Chilean prodigy defeated Japan’s Hibiki 5-2 in the grand final after recovering from an opening-round loss. Aged just 15 years, two months and 25 days, Craime not only claimed the Street Fighter 6 crown but also became the youngest title winner ever at the Esports World Cup.

The victory earned him $250,000 (around Rs 2.3 crore), qualification for the Capcom Cup 13 and 1,000 Club Championship points for Team Falcons.

“I’m very, very happy for my win, and I can’t wait to go back to Chile. This isn’t just me, this is everyone who comes in and helps me. I can’t wait to share this with them,” said Team Falcons, Street Fighter 6 player, Jaime “Craime” Bustos.

Week 4 also delivered a landmark victory in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup, where Team Spirit became the first team from the EECA region to win the tournament.

After taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven final, Team Spirit saw Yangon Galacticos fight back to level the series at 3-3 before regaining control to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory.

The win earned Team Spirit $1 million (around Rs 9.5 crore) along with 1,000 Club Championship points. Team member Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos was named Sony Finals MVP.

“I don’t think I did more than them, if anything, they did more than me, so I’m so grateful for this award,” said Team Spirit, player, Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos.

In the Overwatch Champions Series Midseason Championship, ZETA DIVISION secured its first major international title after defeating Twisted Minds 4-2 in a closely fought final.

The victory also marked a second Esports World Cup title for Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun, who won last year’s Overwatch championship with Team Falcons.

ZETA DIVISION collected $400,000 (around Rs 3.8 crore) and 1,000 Club Championship points, while Kim “shu” Jin-seo received the Sony MVP award and an additional $25,000 (around Rs 23.8 lakh).

The Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series Championship produced another dramatic finish, with G2 Esports emerging victorious after an intense finale that saw five teams enter the deciding match on championship point.

The title was particularly significant for G2’s roster of Anthony “Anziety” Moran, Ashton “Bigman” Ezard and Aarondeep “Cythe” Dhami, who remained together despite frequent roster changes across the competitive Warzone scene. The trio had failed to reach last year’s final after finishing 17th under a different organisation.

“I’ve got no words right now. I’m just shocked that we won that game. It feels amazing. I lost my voice screaming,” said G2 Esports, player, Anthony “Anziety” Moran.

The battle for the Esports World Cup Club Championship remains finely poised.

Team Falcons moved into first place following their Street Fighter 6 victory and later added more points in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. However, the club missed out on points in both Overwatch and Call of Duty: Warzone, allowing rivals to close the gap.

Falcons now lead by just 150 points, with eight organisations sitting within one championship victory of the summit.

Further down the standings, T1 climbed after strong performances in Warzone and Overwatch, while Twisted Minds also made significant gains. With five tournament titles still to be decided, the race for overall club honours remains wide open as the Esports World Cup enters its second half.
