NOIDA: After more than 23 years at Dish TV, Ravi Bhushan Puri is signing off from the broadcaster, bringing to a close a career that has been closely tied to the company’s growth in India’s television industry.

In a regulatory filing, Dish TV India Limited announced that Puri, corporate head of broadcasting and a member of the company’s senior management team, has resigned from his position to retire from professional commitments. His resignation took effect at the close of business on May 31, 2026.

Puri’s departure marks the end of a long association with Dish TV that began in April 2003. Over the past two decades, he played a key role in the company’s broadcast engineering and operations functions, serving as vice president of broadcast engineering and operations while overseeing critical aspects of the broadcaster’s network infrastructure.

During his tenure, Dish TV evolved into one of India’s leading direct-to-home television operators, navigating rapid technological changes and shifting consumer viewing habits. Puri was part of the leadership team responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s broadcasting operations through this transformation.

An alumnus of Punjabi University, Puri holds a master’s degree in applied physics along with a diploma in electronics instrumentation, and also studied electronics, communications, instrumentation and television engineering. His academic background laid the foundation for a career spanning broadcast technology and operations management.

The company said the resignation was submitted as part of Puri’s decision to retire from professional commitments. Dish TV has not yet announced a successor for the role.

As Dish TV looks ahead to its next chapter, Puri leaves behind a legacy built over more than two decades of service, having helped steer the broadcaster’s engineering and operational backbone through a period of significant change in India’s media landscape.
