NDTV World Summit 2024 unveils line-up of visionaries
Mumbai: NDTV has announced the NDTV World Summit 2024 – ‘The India Century,’ a landmark event scheduled for 21-22 October 2024. The summit will convene an exceptional gathering of global leaders, thinkers and disruptors to address pivotal issues shaping the future, with a strong emphasis on India’s expanding global impact. The prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, will deliver an inaugural address on the theme ‘The India Century,’ highlighting India’s remarkable transformation on the world stage.
Continuing NDTV’s legacy of pioneering media, we will also launch NDTV World at the summit, with the tagline: “Seeing the World from Where India Stands.” NDTV World aims to be a leading voice from Asia and India on the global stage.
In addition to PM Modi’s inaugural address, the NDTV World Summit 2024 will feature a line-up of global thought leaders and visionaries, creating a powerful platform for impactful dialogue with Tshering Tobgay, Prime minister of Bhutan, Dr S. Jaishankar, India’s minister for external affairs, Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairperson, Bharti Enterprises, and Nobel Laureate and Economist Professor Paul Michael Romer.
The line-up will also feature Kishore Mahbubani, Former president of the united nations security council and Lindy Cameron, UK High Commissioner. Amplifying the star power, proud winners from the 77th Cannes film festival, Anasuya Sengupta, Chidananda S Naik and Mansi Maheswari will be in attendance alongside renowned Influencer and YouTuber Nas Daily.
Start-up disruptors will take centre stage with significant names like serial entrepreneur Kunal Bahl, Zepto co-founder Aadit Palicha, Groww co-founder Lalit Keshre.
Attendees will also experience an enriching cultural performance by the legendary Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, along with his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangesh, blending India’s artistic legacy with modern interpretations. Singer extraordinaire Shilpa Rao will sing some of her most popular songs, bringing the audience to its feet.

Kamlesh Singh receives Haldi Ghati Award from MMCF
India Today Group editor honoured for three decades of journalism at Udaipur ceremony.
MUMBAI- Kamlesh Singh just turned a lifetime of sharp words into a shiny shield because when journalism wakes up a society, even the Maharana of Mewar wants to pin a medal on it.
The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) conferred its prestigious Haldi Ghati Award on Kamlesh Singh, a senior editor at the India Today Group, during a ceremony in Udaipur on 15 March 2026. The national award, instituted in 1981-82, recognises “work of permanent value that initiates an awakening in society through the medium of journalism.”
Singh, who leads several editorial initiatives including Aaj Tak Radio, the Teen Taal community and The Lallantop, was presented the honour by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Managing Trustee of MMCF. The citation highlighted his three decades of contributions to Indian media, innovations in digital journalism, mentoring young reporters, and his popular podcast persona “Tau” on Teen Taal, which fosters thoughtful public discourse.
The Haldi Ghati Award, named after the historic Battle of Haldighati symbolising valour and resilience, is one of four national awards given annually by MMCF. Past recipients include Tavleen Singh, Piyush Pandey and Raj Chengappa.
Other honourees this year included Padma Vibhushan Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Vedamurti Devvrat Rekhe, Treeman of India Marimuthu Yoganathan, Vir Chakra Capt Rizwan Malik, and US-based researcher Molly Emma Aitken, who received the Colonel James Tod Award for contributions to understanding Mewar’s spirit and values.
In an era where headlines often shout louder than substance, the MMCF quietly reminded everyone that real journalism isn’t about noise, it’s about the quiet, persistent work that stirs society awake, one thoughtful story at a time.
