NKN Media appoints Haresh Anil Kumar as director of marketing

Marketing veteran to lead global brand strategy and growth across integrated media businesses

MUMBAI: NKN Media has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Haresh Anil Kumar as director of marketing, as the company looks to accelerate its global expansion and deepen its integrated media offerings.

The appointment comes as NKN Media continues to grow its presence across television, print, digital, travel media, cinema, out-of-home advertising and a portfolio of proprietary business and industry platforms in international markets.

Kumar brings more than 18 years of experience in strategic marketing, brand building, integrated communications, media planning, digital transformation, business development and revenue-led marketing. Over the course of his career, he has worked across media, entertainment, broadcasting, digital platforms, advertising and real estate, leading campaigns aimed at strengthening brands and driving business growth.

Before joining NKN Media, Kumar was head of marketing at SPR India, where he led marketing initiatives across the company’s residential, commercial and retail businesses. His responsibilities included strengthening brand positioning, enhancing performance marketing capabilities and driving digital-first growth strategies.

Earlier, as head of marketing at Thanthi One, he played a key role in launching the television network and expanding its digital ecosystem across OTT platforms, mobile applications, websites and YouTube, helping establish a strong multi-platform presence.

His career also includes leadership positions at Verse Innovation, INOX Leisure, PVR Cinemas, India Today Group, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, The Times Group and YES Bank, giving him experience across consumer marketing, media, entertainment and financial services.

In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for shaping NKN Media’s global marketing strategy, overseeing brand communications, digital transformation, demand generation and integrated marketing initiatives. He is also expected to focus on strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding client engagement and enhancing the company’s international brand presence.

The company said Kumar’s experience in building high-performing marketing teams, executing integrated 360-degree campaigns and leveraging technology-driven marketing will support its next phase of growth and innovation.

The appointment reflects NKN Media’s continued investment in senior leadership as it seeks to broaden its influence across international markets and strengthen its position as an integrated media and business solutions company. With Kumar taking charge of marketing, the company is aiming to build greater global visibility while creating new opportunities for clients and partners across its expanding media ecosystem.
