Royal Enfield clocks 27 per cent sales growth in June, begins Flying Flea C6 deliveries
Motorcycle maker sells over 1.14 lakh units as electric debut and anniversary boost momentum
CHENNAI: Royal Enfield is firing on all cylinders. The iconic motorcycle maker reported a strong 27 per cent year-on-year jump in June sales while also reaching a major milestone by beginning customer deliveries of its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6.
The Royal Enfield sold 1,14,032 motorcycles in June 2026, up from 89,540 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales climbed 34 per cent to 1,02,930 units, driven by sustained demand across its product portfolio. Exports, however, declined 12 per cent to 11,102 motorcycles.
For the financial year so far, the company has sold 3,30,427 motorcycles, marking a 24 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales during the period rose 32 per cent to 3,01,174 units, while exports fell 20 per cent to 29,253 units.
Commenting on the performance, Royal Enfield chief executive officer and Eicher Motors managing director B. Govindarajan said June marked an important chapter for the company with the start of customer deliveries of the Flying Flea C6 from Bengaluru.
He said the response to the electric motorcycle has been highly encouraging and that the company plans to gradually expand Flying Flea’s availability to more regions over the coming months. He also noted that Royal Enfield’s updated product portfolio continues to witness strong traction across markets.
Alongside its sales performance, Royal Enfield strengthened its electric mobility ambitions by rolling out the Flying Flea C6 through a phased city-by-city expansion strategy. The company has also introduced an integrated ownership ecosystem featuring a hub-and-spoke service network, shop-in-shop retail outlets and round-the-clock roadside assistance to support customers.
The month also saw Royal Enfield celebrate its 125th anniversary with the unveiling of a World Origin Site plaque at its original factory location in Redditch. The event brought together members of the local community, Riders Club members and former factory employees, while showcasing motorcycles spanning five generations, including the 2026 Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition.
On the community front, registrations opened for the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp, Ladakh Edition, which will be held in Leh from September 4 to 6. The three-day gathering is designed for riders, climbers, overlanders, kayakers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering adventure challenges, expert-led sessions, expeditions and cultural experiences.
Royal Enfield also flagged off the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey on June 27. Coinciding with the company’s 125th year, this year’s edition introduces three ride formats to accommodate riders with different experience levels while continuing to promote responsible travel through its #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter initiative.
With domestic demand remaining robust and its electric journey now underway, Royal Enfield enters the second half of the year with strong momentum, even as softer export numbers remain an area to watch.
