We The Women London returns with star studded line up for second edition
MUMBAI: When powerful voices share one stage, conversations become the main attraction. Following a successful international debut, We The Women London is set to return for its second edition, bringing together an eclectic mix of cultural icons, policymakers, authors, actors and emerging changemakers for a day of conversations spanning leadership, identity, culture and social change.
Curated and moderated by journalist and media entrepreneur Barkha Dutt, the platform continues its signature blend of gravitas, grassroots and glamour, creating a space where diverse perspectives converge through candid discussions and storytelling.
This year’s line-up features some of the most influential names across multiple fields. Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore, economist Gita Gopinath, actors Saif Ali Khan, Shefali Shah and Aditi Rao Hydari will take centre stage, bringing perspectives from cinema, economics and public life.
The programme also includes acclaimed author Sathnam Sanghera and broadcaster Anita Rani, who are expected to explore themes of history, identity and belonging. Representing a new generation of talent are Souparnika Nair and MissMOD, whose journeys highlight creativity, ambition and resilience.
Returning as one of the festival’s defining segments is the Changemakers of the Year honours, recognising individuals whose work has challenged convention, broken barriers and created meaningful impact across communities and industries.
Building on the enthusiastic response to its inaugural London edition, the platform aims to move beyond celebrity conversations by spotlighting stories of perseverance, leadership and transformation that resonate across generations.
Speaking about this year’s edition, Barkha Dutt said the festival celebrates not just success but also the journeys, struggles and breakthroughs behind it. She added that the strong response to last year’s event made returning to London feel like “coming home”, with this edition bringing together global thinkers, cultural icons and fresh voices to spark conversations that leave a lasting impact.
The inaugural London edition had drawn praise from several prominent personalities. Actor Kareena Kapoor described it as “a festival for women”, while Smriti Irani called it “a festival that celebrates grit, and life itself.”
With a programme spanning entertainment, economics, literature and culture, the second edition of We The Women London is positioning itself as a forum where ideas take centre stage, proving that compelling conversations can be every bit as captivating as the personalities behind them.
