NOIDA: Munish Devgan has just landed the biggest title of a career built entirely on hustle, scripts and breaking news: executive editor and head of digital videos at NDTV Network. It’s the kind of climb that makes twenty years of broadcast trench-work look almost inevitable in hindsight.

Devgan joined NDTV in August 2025 as head of digital video strategy, and barely 11 months in, he’s been handed the keys to the kingdom. Before that, he spent over four years at Times Network, working his way up from DGM and lead of digital video content and strategy to executive producer and head of digital video content strategy, shaping how the network’s video arm thought, shot and scaled.

But the real grounding happened at Aaj Tak and India Today, where Devgan spent nearly nine years as senior producer and digital team lead, steering content that didn’t just rack up views but actually moved the needle. Among his credits: award-winning specials on Ayodhya, the Bhopal gas tragedy, a hard-hitting series on sex workers titled Sehmi Galiyan, a Covid-migrant documentary called Bhukh, and an exclusive from inside Tihar Jail on the Nirbhaya case. Before that, as a producer-cum-reporter, he chalked up over 100 specials covering the Commonwealth Games, Delhi Assembly sessions, Lok Sabha elections and the Anna Andolan.

The trophy cabinet tells its own story: a Best Producer ENBA Gold in 2019-20, the India Today Chairman Award the same year, two stints on ENBA’s 40 Under 40 list, a string of ENBA Golds for in-depth and current affairs digital work, the Times Network Performer of the Year crown for 2023-24, three NT awards in 2024 alone, an ITA award for best current affairs, and yet another ENBA Gold in 2025 for best in-depth series.

Devgan’s calling card has always been simple: chase the audience, not just the algorithm, across crime, politics and culture, in formats built to break the internet rather than just survive it. NDTV has clearly bet that the formula still works, and on the evidence so far, that’s a bet worth making.
